Big Buck Bunny the second “open movie” after previously mentioned Elephants Dream from the Blender Foundation. Just like the first one they have included all of the production files for aspiring artists to use under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. Also for the first time, Blender is releasing Big Buck Bunny and Elephants Dream together on Blu-ray. Big Buck Bunny revolves around three sinister hamsters (rodents?) messing with a large bunny and the large bunny exacting his revenge on the three culprits. I have to admit that the first time that I saw this style of dance was from my boy Killah Beast (Harlem!) , who labeled it “Jamacians Going Crazy! (unofficial name)”. Major Lazer has brought, “Daggering (official name)” back to my attention with its animated infused wildness.

Have you learned to hulu yet? Well why not it is easy and the best part it is free. Full length movies and television shows like “All Dogs Go To Heaven” and “Heroes” right at your computer streaming 24 hours a day. They are still adding new content partners which equals more shows for the viewer. They also offer RSS feeds to keep up with new shows or movies and embedding content on other websites which allows me to give you this full Simpsons episode.

With 19 seasons, the Simpsons still have the magic with this “Departed” inspired show entitled the “Debarted”. I will not spoil the ending but it is classic observation.

We Feel Fine is a website that I stumbled upon when I was reading a post at UnEasySilence about TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) and they put a sample video for Jonathan Harris. On the video he talks about We Feel Fine and what inspired him to make it. Basically it is a website that looks at different websites for certain words and takes the sentence. Then it puts it on We Feel Fine as a particle (sentences) that reacts to your cursor, words on the screen and other particles. Now if you are totally confused click the link and experience for yourself.

Afro Samurai will slash its way on to Spike TV with the help of some heavy hitters in the movie and music industry. Samuel L. Jackson will the voice the lead role of Afro Samurai while RZA will score the soundtrack of the show. Afro Samurai definitely has a unique and strong art direction that will fusion Hip-Hop, technology and samurai swordplay. The Afro Samurai sight has this to say about the show, “After watching his father die in a duel against an unbeatable villian known only as ‘Justice’, young Afro fixes his life on the study of the sword and revenge.” Sounds like Afro Samurai has all of the elements to be a great show.

Elephants Dream
Elephants Dream the first “open movie” has generated a buzz because they give the viewer access to everything from production files, downloading the movie and soundtrack, and more. Elephants Dream is a 3D animation that was created with a program called Blender and developed by the Orange Open Movie Project studio in Amsterdam. As far as the animation goes Elephants Dream does a great job of delivering interesting characters and highly detailed environments. So go with a open mind to the first open movie.

Who is John K. you ask? What is all kinds of stuff? Why do pigs fly? I will answer in the order given. First, John K. is the creator Ren & Stimpy and the proud owner of Spumco (which was reported here). Second, all kinds of stuff is John K.’s blog where he talks about new shows, caricatures, animation techniques and more. The last and final answer is that Ren & Stimpy – The Lost Episodes will be released on July 18, 2006. What does that have to do with pigs flying, well I thought I would never get new episodes of Ren & Stimpy. Another bonus to John K.’s all kinds of stuff is that he has posted sneak previews of the DVD. Enjoy.
