Beatbox.Tv
Want to become a beatbox master? You know you do. Well head over to Beatbox.Tv for free downloads. Two of the videos are tutorials and one is a demostration that will leave you yearning for more. This brings back memories and I can still beatbox the theme song of Gillian’s Island. Don’t ask.

All Kinds Of Stuff From John K.
Who is John K. you ask? What is all kinds of stuff? Why do pigs fly? I will answer in the order given. First, John K. is the creator Ren & Stimpy and the proud owner of Spumco (which was reported here). Second, all kinds of stuff is John K.’s blog where he talks about new shows, caricatures, animation techniques and more. The last and final answer is that Ren & Stimpy – The Lost Episodes will be released on July 18, 2006. What does that have to do with pigs flying, well I thought I would never get new episodes of Ren & Stimpy. Another bonus to John K.’s all kinds of stuff is that he has posted sneak previews of the DVD. Enjoy.

I AM 8-BIT: version 2.006
Gallery Nineteen Eighty Eight will be host of the second annual I AM 8-BIT nicely dubbed, verison 2.006. I AM 8-BIT: version 2.006 is an art show that lets over hundred artists give their interpretation of 1980’s video games through different media. It varies from canvas to t-shirts to cloth and last year there was even a Pac-Man grenade. Now if you can imagine that then you will enjoy this pixel parade of people’s perception. The show begins April 18th and will run until May 19th, 2006. More information can be found at iam8bit.net and nineteeneightyeight.com and to wet your appetite as what is in store here is a wallpaper from iam8bit.net. Is that who I think that is?

Battle of the Beats 2 Update
Battle of the Beats 2 will be landing at Project Blowed on April 20th, 2006 and will be one not to miss. The event will begin at 9:00 pm and will feature up and coming producers presenting their best tracks. Again my compadre, Detrimental Storm will be in attendance and giving people the chance to hear the beats that he has in his arsenal. It should be a great show and for more information check my previous Battle of the Beats 2 post or the official sight. If your lucky there may be an appearance by the Ecliptic one himself.

CS:S Quick Update 3
Looks like Steam and Counter-Strike: Source are at it again with another round of updates. First up are two more player models one for the terrorist: Artic and one for the counter terrorist: GSG9. If your player models are not showing the new models open your config and add cl_minmodels 0 to show all the models. Next on the update list in HDR lighting on the de_dust map. The update that was greatly appreciated by me was the “improved lag compensation”. This made my game run smoother without using hacks or workarounds for my hyperthreading computer. If it happened to you then you know how big of an improvement this is. Here is a shot from de_dust HDR lighting with the new Artic Avenger model.

Binary Star – Masters of the Universe (MOTU)
Binary Star – Waterworld
Two free full length albums for download from Subterraneous Records. It seems that Binary Star really got screwed over on these two albums. If you read the interesting facts you learn that they were no longer a group when the album MOTU was released. There is alot more and you can also hear samples from One Be Lo (OneManArmy) new material.Credit: zewone on the CAG forums

Golden Axe Gone Away (GAGA)
My title sounds like a song, “Golden Axe Gone Away…” You can finish the rest if you must but before I get off track. I recently put my Golden Axe arcade cabinet on Craigslist.org for sale. I was going to restore it myself but time (mostly more games) caught up to me. Anyways, two guys came by to pick it up and through conversation I found out they work for Rhythm and Hues (that is working on the next Superman: Rhythm and Hues). So they told me they were going to restore it for their company and turn it into a MAME machine. I thought it was a good idea and asked if they would keep me posted. Well they did and also made a sight for it called RhythmMAME. I think this post gives an insight into how much work will be involved and tons of photos. Have fun.
Edit: It seems that the RhythmMAME is back and all links are updated, thanks tony.

Proof Of D12: Rest In Peace
Proof from the group D12 was murdered outside of a Detroit night club. Proof was only 32 years old and was a gifted artist. I remember hearing him do a freestyle that was so flawless it sounded like it could be a song already. This is just a senseless act of violence and I am sad to have to see another person die in their prime. Rest in peace Proof and J-Dilla.

Firefox Madness
I have been on a recent Firefox binge thanks to UNEASYsilence.com. They put up three articles that I have adapted into my Firefox life. The first one is skinning the ‘fox with a theme called Flock. I gives you a feeling of a liquid metal dream after it is installed. The second article is about plugging up a memory leak that Firefox has by moving it to the harddrive. So far so good and it can be installed and uninstalled with no consequences. The last and most beneficial article was adding a custom Firefox search bar for my visitors on my sight (it is located in the sidebar underneath search). You can now have a little piece of Ecliptic Sight while visiting other sights. Now discover Firefox for yourself and join the party.
