Free Shmups

Shoot the Core is the next in line of sights offering free goods for your computer. What are shmups? That is short for shoot ’em ups that are similar to 19XX, Ikaruga and R-Type. It is usually a horizontal or vertical side-scrolling game that involves a plane or vehicle shooting down a exceedingly amount of enemies at one time. These are completely free and most have a description of the game and a link for download. Now go download a couple and try to beat my high score. Shoot the Core also has a news blog that discusses shmups and other news.

Half of my Life Back, I Hope

Well I have done the impossible and beat Half-Life 2. It was not impossible but challenging with puzzles to figure out and an intriguing story. This game is the total package: graphics and game play. What else can you ask for? I cannot stress enough that you need to pick this up for your PC as soon as possible. For those that cannot handle the PC requirements you can now get it for the large black box. That’s right it was recently released for the Xbox console and should be the same but a FPS with a controller. It could work I guess but everyone true to FPS can pick up a third party keyboard and mouse for the Xbox. So now you have no excuse, go get it now, what are you still doing here go now.

Welcome to a new experience in review sites. Ecliptic Sight was born out of a simple idea, as most things are to only give information of things that are good. There are many sites out there that have more negative reviews than positive reviews so we know what not to buy but don’t have enough content about what we should purchase. Enters Ecliptic Sight to fill that gap, to inform you about the great buys. Ecliptic Sight’s goal is to review video games, music, films, comics, events and anything else that should be recognized. Ecliptic Sight is committed to giving information on products and services that are good if not great. Ecliptic Sight does not want to waste our energy writing how bad something is while Ecliptic Sight could be using that time to find something new and exciting to bring you. Does Ecliptic Sight like everything it has bought or seen? No that would be naive; there are tons of terrible things out there. Ecliptic Sight just thinks about the saying that just about every child learns in grade school; if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. This is Ecliptic Sight’s mission to bring everyone to the mind set that there are excellent video games to play, good music to listen to, great films to watch, nice comics to read and better events to attend. That is why Ecliptic Sight’s statement of: Observe The Path Of Light should make sense. It means stop dwelling on the negative and see what is good in life. So go and tell the masses.

Half of my Life 2

It started with CS:S and now Half-Life 2 has claimed the rest of my life. If I did not have to work I would have to force myself to stop playing so much. I am now a CS:S and HL-2 addict with no sign of recovery. This is getting out of hand but a review will be posted after I finish the game of course. Added a screenshot.
